I was prescribed Chlorpromazine for severe nausea and vomiting, and it worked wonders. But I've experienced some side effects that I want to share. Has anyone else had issues with drooling or shaking? My doctor mentioned these could be related to the medication. It's also made me very drowsy, but I think that's a small price to pay for the relief it provides. I've also been reading about some of the more serious side effects, like neuroleptic malignant syndrome (NMS) and tardive dyskinesia. Those sound terrifying – has anyone had any experience with those or know more about them?

I had a really bad reaction to this stuff. I developed a rash all over my body and started feeling really weak. It took me a while to figure out it was the medication causing it. I’m glad I stopped taking it before things got worse.

This is old school – are there better options out there?

I heard that some people get enlarged breasts from this drug. Is that true? I wouldn't mind so, but I don’t want any hormonal changes.

I was prescribed this for hiccups that wouldn’t go away. It worked like a charm, but I had to be careful with the dosage. Too much and I felt like I was walking through a fog all day. My doctor had to adjust it a few times before we found the right balance.

I’ve had a few friends who’ve been on this. One had some really bad muscle movements. There is a severe muscle disorder called tardive dyskinesia. Do some more research on that. My friend had to go through some pretty intense treatments to get better.

I’ve had some vision changes while on this. It’s not terrible, but it’s noticeable. I’ve had to be more careful with driving and things like that. It’s a bit scary, but my doctor said it should go away if I stop taking the meds.
