Chlorzoxazone 250mg Tablets are prescribed to relieve muscle spasms, but the list of severe side effects can be alarming. I've been prescribed this medication for chronic back pain, and while it does help with muscle relaxation, the potential liver problems and allergic reactions are concerning. I'm considering switching to a different medication but need more insight. Has anyone experienced severe side effects? How did you handle them? Are there any alternative medications worth considering that might have fewer risks?

If you're experiencing side effects, talk to your doctor about adjusting the dosage or switching to a different medication. There are other muscle relaxants available that might suit you better. I took it for a year or so and it was fine at the start, but my doctor eventually switched me because it wasn't working anymore. I'm glad I did. It made a difference.

I know someone who had a nasty allergic reaction to this stuff. Hid them in my house, but ended up returning them. Not worth the risk for me. I would read the side effects carefully.

I guess the liver risks are rare, but I don't like taking that chance. I've heard good things about physical therapy and yoga for back pain, anyone try those?

The worst part is the dizziness and fatigue. I swear I can't function if I take it during the day.

Seriously considering switching to something safer. I mean, liver problems are no joke. Has anyone tried alternative muscle relaxants like Cyclobenzaprine and if so, how do they compare? I know my dr might have opinions about this.

If you're concerned about the liver, you can ask your healthcare provider to monitor your liver function before and during treatment. Liver enzymes are easy to test.
