I've recently started taking Cholestyramine 4gm Lght Pow Pk 60s to manage my high cholesterol levels. I've experienced constipation but I'm on the right track to taking more fiber. I've also heard and discussed that it may help with itching caused by liver conditions. I'm wondering if anyone else out there has had a similar experience with this medication. What are the most effective ways to deal with the side effects, particularly the constipation? Have you had any unexpected benefits or drawbacks? Let's discuss makes it easier. Anyone have a tip to make this easier? I'm happy to share my story and hear yours.

I've never heard of anyone having an allergic reaction to this, until me. I got hives and had to stop taking it. So be careful! Always read the warning labels carefully and watch out for any side effects. But I guess it depends on the dosage and the severity of the symptoms.

This med is a lifesaver for me. I was desperate for relief from the itching, and Cholestyramine has been a blessing. Just make sure to take it with plenty of water and watch out for the constipation. But definitely worth it!

I've been on Cholestyramine for a few months now, and the constipation has been tough. I started drinking more water and eating more fruits and veggies, which helped a bit. Also, my doctor recommended a stool softener, which has made a big difference.

I switched to a different cholesterol medication because the side effects were too much for me. But I think it's worth trying if you're struggling with high cholesterol.

I've heard mixed reviews about this med, I'm glad others are sharing their experiences. I’ll have a talk with my doctor about trying it out.

Also, my doctor recommended a stool softener, which has made a big difference. The main trick here is to have extra fiber in your diet and to take a stool softener if you have issues. Also a stool softener but not a laxative.

Anyone else experiencing weird bruising? I bruise easily, and it's getting a bit concerning. But on the other hand, I've noticed my skin feels less itchy when I take this med.

I was on Cholestyramine for a while and it did help with my itching from liver issues. But the side effects were tough. I switched to a different medication that worked better for me. Talk to your doctor if the side effects are too much.
