I was prescribed Ciloxan 0.3% eye drops for a bacterial infection in my eye, specifically conjunctivitis. I was worried about the side effects, especially since the package insert listed some serious ones. I want to hear from others who have used this medication. Did you experience any side effects? How long did it take for the infection to clear up? Were there any challenges with administration? I found the drops stung a bit when I first put them in, but that went away after a few days. I also noticed some white crystals forming in my eye, but my doctor said that was normal and not to worry about it. I'm curious about other people's experiences and tips for using this medication effectively.

I felt a burning sensation when I first used these drops. It went away after a few days. I also felt some kind of something in the eye feeling.

I did experience a rash that I thought was an allergic reaction from Ciloxan, but it turned out to be something else.

If you are allergic to any antibiotics, inform your doctor before starting this product. I had a big reaction and got all hivey, itchy and swollen. That was not fun.

I never want to get pink eye again, it was horrendous. I couldn't go to work, I looked awful, and my eyes were so puffy for days. Using these drops from the beginning helped but it took a full week to see any improvement. Definitely kept me up at night.

I felt joint pain and swelling after taking these drops, it was so uncomfortable. Also morning felt like I had poured sand into my eyes. The blurriness made it hard to read. Never experienced anything like that before.

I used Ciloxan for a corneal ulcer and it worked wonders. The side effects were minimal for me—just a bit of eye irritation and blurry vision in the first few days. Make sure you shake the bottle well before each use to mix the solution properly, it's important. The worst part was remembering to put the drops in every hour for the first two days. Also, don't forget to wash your hands before and after putting in the drops to avoid spreading any infection.

I tried to put the drops in my eye as carefully as I could, but they always seemed to sting a little. Is that normal? I was so worried that I was doing something wrong.
