Ciprofloxacin Eye Drops: My Experience with Side Effects and Effectiveness
I was recently prescribed Ciprofloxacin 0.3% Op Sol 5ml-Eye for a bacterial infection in my eye, and I've been using it for about a week now. I wanted to share my experience and hear from others who have used this medication. How do you deal with the eye irritation and crusting that comes with it? Mine was so bad, I thought I was developing a new infection! It doesn't seem to be helping my eye clear up but I wonder if I should give it more time. Does anyone else feel like this medication isn't working for them? Also, has anyone noticed the white crystals forming in their eyes like the description says? I did a quick google search and it seems like a weird side effect. I have also been experiencing blurred vision and wondering if this is a side effect or something to be more concerned about. I'd appreciate any insights or advice from others who have been through this.

I have never had side effects from these drops. I recommend washing your hands well and being careful to not get the drops in the wrong place, since that can cause more irritation. I also found that tweezing my eyebrows helped a lot with the irritation so you might want to try that.
I've used these drops before and they worked great for my pink eye. I didn't have any major side effects, just a bit of blurriness that went away after a few hours.
I had a bad reaction to these drops. I got some really scary eye pain and went straight to the emergency department. I had to stop taking them and go on something else.
I had a really bad reaction to ciprofloxacin: both eyes red, swollen and itchier than anything I've ever felt. It didn't help my infection, it just made it worse. I switched to something else and it's much better now. Be careful and make sure to monitor your eyes while on this.
I also experienced eye irritation and crusting, but it got better after a few days. Just keep using it as prescribed, and if it doesn't improve, call your doctor.
I'm currently using these drops and I noticed some discomfort and redness but I am not too worried about it. My eye infection has cleared up nicely, but i will keep monitoring it to make sure. I guess that it's just part of the process. My eye doctor said it was normal and I shouldn't worry too much but I'll have to keep monitoring it
I noticed a bad taste in my mouth after using these drops. It was pretty gross, but I just brushed my teeth afterward and it went away. I just wish they had a better taste before I brush my teeth!
I've had no issues with these drops. I just make sure to clean the area around my eye before using them and it seems to help with irritation. I wouldn't worry about a bit of crusting around the eyes. The eye drops have been helping a lot
