I was recently prescribed Claravis 40mg Capsules (Isotretinoin) for my severe acne that just wouldn't go away with other treatments. Has anyone else used this medication? I'm on week 3 and I'm experiencing some pretty intense side effects like dry skin and lips. I'm also feeling pretty tired all the time. I know these are common, but I'm curious to know if anyone else had similar experiences or if these symptoms got better over time? I've been trying to keep up with moisturizer and drinking tons of water. My dermatologist warned me about the potential side effects, especially the more serious ones like liver problems and depression. I'm just hoping the benefits outweigh the risks. I also have to take weekly pregnancy tests because of the teratogenic effects. It's a lot to manage, but I'm hoping it's worth it in the end. My acne has improved a bit, but the side effects are pretty rough.

I had a really tough time with Claravis too. The dryness was bad, but the worst part was the joint pain. It felt like I had the flu all the time. Did you get any relief from that? My doctor recommended some NSAIDs to help with the pain.

I've heard that Claravis can cause some serious birth defects. Make sure you're being super careful with birth control if you're sexually active. It's not worth the risk.

I have a friend who had really bad depression from accutane. I had my doubts about taking the medicine but my acne was so bad that I decided to try. I'm glad I did. Definitely worth it.

Stick with it, it takes time. My skin was horrible when I started, but after a few months, it cleared up completely. Just be patient and keep up with the moisturizer. I used a heavy-duty lip balm too. Stay hydrated.

I didn't have any of the serious side effects, but the dryness was ridiculous. My lips were so chapped it was ridiculous. I had to switch to a heavy-duty lip balm and use it every few hours.

Be cautious with the mental health side effects. I started feeling really down and had no energy. I had to talk to my doctor about it and we adjusted my dosage. But my acne got a lot better and I was really happy with the final results.

I had some really bad nosebleeds when I was on Claravis. It was scary. I had to go to the ER a few times. I didn't know that was a possible side effect. I think my gums bled too. My doctor didn't seem too concerned, but it was terrifying for me.

I'm on week 5 and the dryness is still bad, but my skin is looking so much better. I've tried to keep my skin hydrated with ointments. It's so much better than the cysts I was dealing with. Stick with it!

I had to stop taking Claravis because I started getting excruciating back pain. It was so bad I couldn't even get out of bed. I had to tell my doctor and we stopped immediately.
