I've been taking Clemastine 2.68mg tablets for a few weeks now to manage my seasonal allergies, and I've found them to be quite effective in relieving symptoms like sneezing, runny nose, and itchy eyes. However, the drowsiness can be quite pronounced, especially in the first few days. I've had to be really careful when driving or doing tasks that require alertness. I've noticed that the drowsiness lessens over time, but it's still something to be aware of. Has anyone else had a similar experience with the drowsiness? Any tips on managing it? I'm also curious about the potential side effects—has anyone experienced anything more serious than the drowsiness? I've read about the possibility of allergic reactions and changes in balance, so I'm hoping to hear from others who’ve taken this medication. I definitely want to stay informed.

Why do antihistamines always make me feel like I'm walking through a fog? It’s like putting on a pair of glasses that are smeared with Vaseline. Do antihistamines actually damage brain cells? I want to get into research on this.

I've had stomach pain a few times, which was unexpected. I thought it was just going to be drowsiness. Definitely something to be aware of, and something to mention to your doctor if you get it too

I get super sleepy on this stuff. But honestly, it's the only thing that works for my allergies. Worth it for me, but maybe not for everyone.

Has anyone had a reaction with light sensitivity? That’s been my experience and it’s been a bit concerning. Feeling like I’m living in a cave when I need to shut my curtains all the time.

I just started taking it and I feel like I’m going to need to take naps all day. Is this something that goes away over time?

I was worried about the allergic reaction symptoms at first, but I've been okay so far. Just make sure to read the list of urgent side effects before starting. It's important to know what to look out for.

Have you talked to your doctor about trying a different antihistamine? Some people respond better to different types. For example, some people get better relief from the second generation antihistamine, such as loratadine.

I’ve been taking Clemastine for years and it’s been a lifesaver for my allergies. The drowsiness is definitely a trade-off, but it's manageable. I take it before bed and it helps me sleep through the night without waking up with a stuffy nose. As for side effects, I’ve only had the occasional dry mouth, but nothing serious.
