I was recently prescribed Clindamycin/Benzoyl 1/5% Gel 25g Jar to treat my stubborn acne. The dermatologist assured me it's a great combo to kill bacteria and reduce inflammation, but I've been hearing horror stories about side effects. Has anyone else tried this? I'm curious to know your experiences. Positive and negative feedback alike are welcome, as well as advice on how to minimize side effects.

I've been on this for a few months now, and it's been a game-changer. No more breakouts, and the burning sensation faded after a week. Just apply a thin layer and let it absorb, then go to bed.

So, I had bad acne, and Clindamycin worked for me. I first noticed improvement in 2 weeks. It’s an easy fix, but I wish I had started using it earlier. If you're debating this, just try it, but read the side effect lists carefully. I had temporary redness, but no major side effects.

I gave up on this after a week. The burning was unbearable, and my skin was red and irritated. It might be worth it for some, but not for me.

I love this combo! My skin cleared up after a month, but I did experience some dryness at first. Make sure to moisturize!

I’ve been using it for a couple of weeks and noticed some itching and redness at the application site. Does anyone know if this is normal or if I should stop using it? (I am just being lazy and reading comments instead of calling my doctor.)

I think this gel is great, but it took me awhile to find a moisturizer that didn't irritate my skin while using it. I even had to switch to a non-comedogenic one. Also, some makeup can make it worse, watch out for that, too.

My skin is super dry and flaky. I moisturized but it didn’t help, any tips?

I had a horrible allergic reaction to this gel. Swelling, hives, the works. Don't ignore the side effects section. I had to go to the ER, it was scary.

Took some time to get used to it. Initial burning and dryness, but it cleared up after a few days. I'm happy with how my skin has improved.

This stuff is a lifesaver, but my dermatologist warned me about the potential for severe side effects. If you notice anything weird, call your doctor ASAP. Seriously, don't mess around with diarrhea and bloody stool. Ugh.
