I recently started receiving Clinimix 4.25%/dextr 5% Inj, 2000ml through IV for nutritional support. While I understand the benefits of this special liquid nutrition, I'm worried about the potential side effects. The list of urgent side effects is long and scary, including things like allergic reactions, fluid and electrolyte problems, and even signs of liver problems. Has anyone else had experience with this medication? What side effects did you encounter, and how did you manage them? Also, are there any tips for preventing or mitigating these side effects? I'm particularly concerned about the infusion site reactions and fluid leakage. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I've seen some really bad reactions to this medication, like blue or gray discoloration of the skin. That's something you do not want to mess around with. If you notice anything like that, get medical help right away.

I have a friend who was on this IV nutrition for a while. He didn't experience any serious side effects, but he did mention that he had to take it slow and steady and couldn't rush the process. He called it a bit of a journey to recovery.

I've been on this medication for a few months now and I've noticed some swelling in my legs and arms. I thought it was my imagination, but it seems to be getting better over time, just take it easy for a bit and you'll be good. I hope that helps anyone dealing with this.

I had a bad reaction to this medication once. I woke up in the middle of the night feeling really confused and dizzy. It was terrifying. Turns out I had some fluid and electrolyte problems. I ended up in the ER, but I'm okay now. If you feel anything out of the ordinary, don't hesitate to call your doctor.

This medication is a godsend when you can't eat properly, but it's important to be aware of the risks. I had a friend who had to use this IV nutrition because he could not eat solid foods. He didn't have any serious side effects, but he noticed a bit of swelling and discomfort around his IV site. He was able to manage that by keeping his arm elevated when possible. He also said that staying hydrated helped a bit.
