I've been prescribed Clobetasol Prop 0.05% Gel for my psoriasis and eczema. It's been effective in reducing redness, swelling, and itching, but I'm concerned about the potential serious side effects. Has anyone else experienced any of the really bad side effects like skin irritation, thining, or Cushing's syndrome? I've been careful to follow the directions and limit the amount of gel I use but I am worried. This stuff is super powerful so I want to manage the worst side effects. How do you guys balance the benefits and the risks? Are there any good alternatives? Can someone else share their story on how to manage psoriasis and eczema? Any tips or tricks to avoid skin irritation, thinning, or Cushing's syndrome?

What happens if you use it to much? Can you just use it until the rash goes away? Like if your rash goes away does that mean you need to stop?

This medication and the side effects are no joke. Make sure you're monitoring for signs of infection or irritation. Like, real close. I mean, it worked for me, but I was terrified the whole time.

I've heard horror stories about Cushing's syndrome from this stuff. Never fun. I wish I had known about some of the more serious side effects. If you experience any strange symptoms, just contact your doctor right away. Seriously. Don't mess around with this. Its scary.

I've been using it for years. No need to worry about the side effects. its just a few bad apples. I am lucky, I guess. Its all about the right doctor. He is the best.

I had to stop using it because of severe skin thinning. It was so bad. I only wish I had done more research before starting. But maybe you will be fine, who knows!

I switched to a lower potency steroid cream because of the side effects. It's not as effective, but it's gentler on my skin. Maybe talk to your doctor about trying a different strength or another medication. Its worth the conversation., but be careful your doctor might want you to stick with the higher strength
