I've been using the Clonidine 0.3mg/24h Weekly Patch for a few months now to manage my high blood pressure. The patch is convenient because it releases the medication slowly over a week, which helps me remember to take my medication consistently. However, I've experienced some side effects like dry mouth and dizziness. I'm curious if anyone else has had similar experiences or if there are any tips for managing these side effects. Also, I've heard that some people have issues with skin irritation. Has anyone found a good way to deal with this? I'm really hoping to make the most of this treatment and would appreciate any insights from others who are using it.

Is it normal to feel a burning sensation when you put the patch on?

I had a really bad experience with the patch. I started feeling super dizzy and faint. I called my doctor right away, and they told me to stop using it immediately. Turns out, it was causing an abnormal heartbeat. Scary stuff!

I love the patch! So much easier than pills.

I’m on my third week with the patch and I’ve noticed some redness around the edge of the patch. Is this normal? Should I change the location or just wait it out?

I just started the patch and I'm already feeling dizzy. Should I be worried?

I heard that Clonidine can cause constipation. Anyone else deal with this? I’ve been battling it for weeks and it’s frustrating. I’m trying to eat more fiber and drink prune juice, but it’s a struggle. Any advice?

I've been on Clonidine for years and the patch is great for me. I haven't had any major side effects, but I do get dry mouth sometimes. Drinking plenty of water and chewing sugar-free gum helps a lot. I actually also recommend putting it on your lower back or stomach—it’s less noticeable and irritating.

I started using the Clonidine patch a while back and had major issues with skin irritation at first. I switched to applying it to a different part of my body every week, and that helped a lot. Also, keep the area clean and dry before applying the new patch. Hope this helps!
