I've been prescribed Clozapine 12.5mg ODT Tablets for my schizophrenia, and while I've heard it can be a game-changer, the side effects list is terrifying. Has anyone else had good or bad experiences with this medication? I'm particularly anxious about the severe side effects like NMS and tardive dyskinesia. How common are these really, and should I be worried? Also, are there any tips for dealing with the more common side effects like drowsiness and dry mouth? I'd love to hear from anyone who's been through this.

I switched to Clozapine after trying a bunch of other meds, and it was the first one that actually helped. The side effects were rough at first, but I found that staying hydrated helped with the dry mouth and that getting up and moving around helped with the drowsiness. It's worth it to me, but everyone's experience is different.

Hang in there. It's tough and scary, but it gets better. I promise you. The side effects will subside, your life will improve. Just hang in there and talk to your doctors about any issue, even if it seems minor.

I had a friend who took Clozapine and ended up with tardive dyskinesia. It was awful to see. Make sure you're really monitoring for that, and if you notice any symptoms, get to a doctor ASAP. It's scary stuff.

I've been on this for 6 months and I'm loving it so far. The side effects have been manageable, and I finally feel like I have my life back. Just make sure you're doing regular blood tests, they can catch some of the serious side effects early. Fingers crossed for you!

I had issues with liver problems on another medication and I’m hesitant to try Clozapine. Has anyone with a history of liver issues tried it? I’m worried about the risk.
