I've been on Columvi for a few months now and I have to say the serious side effects are definitely scary, but they can be managed and are usually worth it in the end. Make sure to let your doctor know if you experience any of the serious side effects, and discuss whether you need to stay in the hospital for monitoring.

My doctor gave me a bunch of meds to take before and after my doses, and it really helped me with the side effects. Also, I just did what made me feel better: naps, movies, and a good book to distract me. The bad news is that it really sucks to miss out on family stuff while you're in the hospital, but the good news is that you won't have to miss out on anything once you're cancer-free. You got this!
I was also worried about the hospital stays for monitoring. They can be pretty intense, but the staff is usually really good about making you comfortable, and you'll be glad you did it if you avoid any serious issues.
OMG this stuff is rough. I've had fever and chills super bad after the first few doses.
