Has anyone had experience with Cortrophin Gel 80u/ml Inj, 5ml? I was prescribed this for a recent flare-up of my multiple sclerosis, and I'm a bit nervous about the potential side effects. The list is quite extensive, and I'm wondering if anyone has experienced any of these or has tips on managing them. Also, how does this compare to other treatments like Prednisone? I'd love to hear from those who have tried both. I need any guidance on navigating the treatment!

I was on Prednisone before switching to Cortrophin Gel, and I've noticed a significant difference. The side effects with Prednisone were horrible—moon face, severe acne, and I felt like a giant. With Cortrophin, I haven't experienced any of that, just some mild nausea and dizziness. Plus, it seems to work faster for me.

Just a heads-up, if you're experiencing any mental or mood changes, take them seriously. I brushed mine off at first, but they got worse and I had to seek help.

Does anyone know if Cortrophin Gel interacts with other medications? I'm on a few different drugs, and I want to make sure there won't be any issues.

I'm only a few weeks in, but so far, so good. I've had some minor sleep disturbances, but nothing I can't handle. I'm just glad to finally have something that's helping with the inflammation.

Be very careful with this medication. I had a severe allergic reaction after my first dose—swelling in my throat, hives all over. It was terrifying. I ended up in the ER and had to switch to a different treatment plan. My doctor said reactions like that are rare, but they can happen.

I have been on Cortrophin Gel for a few months now, and it's been a game-changer for my rheumatic disease. I did experience some initial weight gain and increased appetite, but my doctor said that's pretty common. I managed it with a stricter diet and regular exercise, though i can't stand to wait when i eat, i get famished. Overall, the benefits have outweighed the downsides. Just make sure you monitor your blood sugar levels closely, as that can be a serious issue if left unchecked.

I've been on this for years for my kidney issues. The key is communication with your medical team. Regular check-ins and blood tests have helped me manage any potential issues before they become serious.

I've had some of the more serious side effects, like signs of low potassium levels and even some mild pancreatitis symptoms. It was rough, but my doctor was able to adjust my dosage and monitor me closely. If you start feeling any severe abdominal pain or muscle cramps, don't wait—get to a doctor ASAP.

I had no idea this could cause Cushing's syndrome. That's scary stuff. I'll make sure to keep an eye out for any unusual weight gain or moon face.

I've heard mixed reviews about this medication. Some people swear by it, while others have had horrible experiences. It's crazy how differently our bodies can react to the same drug.
