I've been suffering from seasonal allergies for years, and my doctor recently prescribed Cromolyn Sod 5.2/act Nasal Spray. I've been using it for a week now, and I'm not sure if it's working. It's supposed to prevent symptoms, but I'm still sneezing and dealing with a runny nose. Has anyone else had better (or worse) experiences with this nasal spray? Even worse: I've experienced some mild stinging and irritation in my nose. Should I push through and give it more time, or consider other remedies? Any advice would be appreciated.

I had a bad reaction to it. Shortness of breath and all that. Definitely talk to your doctor if you experience anything like that.

What's the difference between this and other allergy sprays? I've been using Flonase and it works well for me.

I found that the stinging was worse when I was using it during a flare-up. Try using it before your symptoms get bad, and see if that helps.

I switched to a different nasal spray because of the stinging. Maybe try rinsing your nose with saline before using it to see if that helps with the irritation.

I've been using it for a while and it's fine. I've experienced some sneezing and irritation too, but nothing too bad and it's manageable. I might try a different remedy if it doesn't get better, though.

I had the same issue with stinging. My doctor said it's normal at first, but if it doesn't go away, you should definitely talk to your healthcare provider. Persistence is key with this stuff, but not at the expense of discomfort.
