I've recently been prescribed Cutivate 0.005% Ointment for my eczema, and I must admit, I'm a bit nervous about the potential side effects. The doctor assured me that most people tolerate it well, but the list of possible side effects is pretty long. Has anyone else had experience with this medication? What were your experiences like, and how did you manage any side effects? Also, what are some techniques for applying it effectively? I want to make sure I'm using it correctly to minimize any risks.

I didn't have any major side effects, but I did notice some skin thinning. Make sure to keep an eye on that, it might be worth switching to a lower dose or a different steroid if it gets too bad.

I've been using Cutivate for my eczema for a few weeks now and the burning and stinging is unreal but the relief is worth the annoyance.

I think it's important to note that everyone's experience is different. My dermatologist recommended using it only for short periods and then taking breaks. That way, you can avoid some of the more serious side effects.

Just a heads up, flare ups are not always due to underusing the medication, it might be that the medication is too strong.

Be really careful with this stuff. I had a friend who ended up with thinning skin and stretch marks. It's a strong steroid, so use it sparingly and talk to your doctor if you notice anything weird.

I've used Cutivate for a few years now, and it's been a game-changer for my psoriasis. I did get some initial skin irritation, but it went away after a few days. Just make sure to follow the directions and don't overuse it.

Why so many side effects?? Feels like it's dangerous. Would've gone with a low dose just to be safe.

I've always been paranoid about steroids, but this stuff really helped my eczema. Just be cautious and follow the instructions carefully. And always talk to your doctor if you have any concerns.
