I've been prescribed Cutivate 0.05% Cream for my eczema, and I'm a bit nervous about the potential side effects. Has anyone else used this cream? How did you find it? Were the side effects manageable, or did they end up being worse than the skin issue I was trying to treat? I've heard stories about some pretty serious symptoms, but I'm hoping that's just the rare cases.

I'm particularly concerned about the signs of high blood sugar and Cushing's syndrome. I've read through the list of possible side effects a couple of times, and I'm just not sure if it's worth the risk. Any advice from people who have experience with this medication, for better or for worse, would be really helpful! Because I live in a rural area, I don't have the luxury of easy follow-ups with a doctor. I need this stuff to work the first time or I'm out of luck. Please help!

Others have mentioned skin thinning and irritation. Maybe consult with a dermatologist about alternative treatments? There are other options.

I had a bad reaction to it. I developed a rash all over my body, and my doctor said it was an allergic reaction to the cream. I had to stop using it immediately.

I've had to stop using it unfortunately. Didn't have an allergic reaction but the steroid weakens your immune system so badly you can't afford to get sick. Covid is still a thing and I can't afford to get really sick and have a long recovery!

Be careful with this stuff. I used it for a while and ended up with some pretty nasty skin thinning. It's not fun, trust me. I think I'd rather deal with the eczema than that.

I've been using Cutivate for a few weeks now, and it's been a lifesaver. My psoriasis has improved dramatically, and I haven't had any major side effects. Just a bit of stinging at first, but that went away after a few days. Be sure to follow the instructions carefully and not overuse it.

I experienced some of the side effects, yeah, but also saw a lot of improvement and was able to manage the side effects. Maybe consult with your dermatologist and let them know about your concerns first. It's important to understand that some of these side effects that everyone's afraid of are pretty rare and only show up in a fraction of patients. It's worth a try. If the side effects become a problem, you can always stop.

It's kind of scary to think that you can get Cushings from this cream. I'd personally rather use hydrocortisone cream for a while and see how that impacts my skin. It's been working for me so far.

Hopefully you will be able to tolerate this treatment. Just remember to keep an eye on any unusual symptoms.

I've used Cutivate for about 3 months now. I've experienced some skin irritation, but nothing serious. My doctor told me that if I experience any other symptoms like dizziness, I should go to the hospital immediately.

I've been using Cutivate for about a month now, and I haven't experienced any serious side effects. A bit of burning when I first applied it, but that went away quickly. It's definitely helped with the itching and redness.
