My doctor prescribed me Cyclomydril Ophth Solution 2ml for an upcoming eye exam. I've never heard of this medication before and I'm a bit nervous. The side effects listed on the information sheet are quite scary. I'm not sure what to expect from using Cyclomydril. Has anyone had experience using this solution for an eye exam? It's called for dilating my pupils and relaxing the muscle in my eye, but I'd like to hear from someone who has gone through it. Also, if I do experience some of the other side effects that are not immediately life threatening, but still concerning, is it okay to call the nurse's line at my doctor's office? Or do I need to go in for an appointment?

I had a similar feeling of a burning sensation, and my vision was blurred, but I did NOT experience any of the serious symptoms. I would just go to the doctor's office for a check up. I feel like if you've had a reaction, even a mild one, talk to an expert.

My doctor uses Cyclomydril for eye exams all the time. The side effects are usually minor, like eye irritation and blurred vision. Just be prepared to be a bit photosensitive afterward, and you should be fine.

I think the key is communication. Make sure to talk to your doctor if you're feeling uneasy. Trust me, they are there for a reason. I would do some research as well. I could not find anything really scary on WebMD or the CDC website.

I got really freaked out because I started seeing weird patterns in the wallpaper after the drops. Turns out it was just the dilation, and it went away after a few hours. So just a heads-up to anyone experiencing mild visual disturbances.

I had a really bad reaction to Cyclomydril. I experienced severe headache, confusion, and hallucinations. I had to go to the ER. Just be cautious and if you feel like something is wrong, do not hesitate to seek out immediate medical attention.

I used this and it seemed like the solution was working well, but my eye felt like there was a piece of sand in it. It was just odd. I was also worried about the serious side effects, but I only had the burning sensation. I would say it was worth it.

I've used Cyclomydril before, and while it's not the most pleasant experience, it's definitely manageable. The dilation effect is temporary, and the side effects usually clear up quickly. Just make sure to follow your doctor's instructions and you'll be fine.
