Cytomel 25mcg Tablets: My Experience and Questions about Side Effects
I recently started taking Cytomel 25mcg Tablets for hypothyroidism, and while I've noticed some improvements, I'm also experiencing some side effects. I'm wondering if anyone else has had similar issues and how they managed them. The side effects I'm dealing with include hair loss and occasional rapid heartbeat. I've read that these can be symptoms of excessive thyroid hormone, but I'm not sure if this is normal or if I need to talk to my doctor about adjusting the dosage. Has anyone else dealt with these side effects, especially with Cytomel? Any tips or advice would be greatly appreciated!

I'm on Cytomel and haven't had any issues. Maybe it's just a matter of finding the right dosage for you.
I've heard that some people have better luck with natural thyroid medications instead of synthetic ones like Cytomel.
I've been on Cytomel for a few months and had similar issues. My doctor adjusted the dosage, and it helped a lot. Hang in there!
I had hair loss for the first few months too. It eventually stopped, so it might just be a temporary side effect.
I switched to a different thyroid medication because of side effects. Might be worth discussing with your endocrinologist.
If you're really struggling, you could ask your doctor about trying a different brand of liothyronine. Sometimes it's just a matter of the formulation.
Rapid heartbeat is scary. I'd definitely talk to your doctor about that. Better safe than sorry!
Good luck! I hope you find a solution that works for you. Feel free to ask your doctor for a blood test to check your T3 levels. It could give you more insight.
This is why I hate taking medication. Always something going wrong.
