I've recently started taking Cytomel 5mcg tablets to manage my underactive thyroid. I was prescribed this after experiencing persistent fatigue, weight gain, and feeling constantly cold. The doctor explained that Cytomel helps with metabolism by replacing the T3 hormone my body doesn't produce enough of. Has anyone else had a similar experience? I'm curious to know how others have managed their symptoms and any advice on dealing with the side effects. I've heard that hair loss can be a side effect, and I'm a bit worried about that. Any insights or tips would be greatly appreciated!

I've been on Cytomel for a few months and I feel like I'm finally getting my energy back. My hair is thinning a little, but it's worth it to feel normal again. Hang in there, it gets better!

I had to switch to different thyroid medications because I developed heart palpitations. It was scary. If you have any heart issues, I recommend speaking to your doctor about the risks.

I thought I was going to die from the sweating. I was drenched every day, it was horrible.

I just started Cytomel and I already feel a difference. I'm still adjusting to the new energy levels, it's like a rollercoaster. Feeling overheated and waking up in the middle of the night. But overall it's a positive change.

I wish someone had warned me about the hair loss. It was devastating, but it did grow back after I stabilized on the medication. Just hang in there if it happens to you.

I've been on Cytomel for about a year now, and it's been a game-changer. I felt like a new person after a few weeks. Just be patient with the dosage adjustment; it took some time to find the right balance for me.

I had terrible side effects with Cytomel. I felt like I was going crazy with all the heart palpitations and anxiety. Switched to a different medication and it's been much better. Just keep an eye out for those signs and talk to your doctor if you experience anything weird.

I had high blood pressure issues when I started Cytomel. My doctor had to adjust the dosage and add some blood pressure medication. Definitely something to keep an eye on.

Has anyone had issues with weight gain while taking Cytomel. I've seen a slight increase in my waistline and I'm sticking to a strict diet and exercise.
