Desonide 0.05% Lotion 59ml: A Game Changer for Eczema or A risky Side Effect Lottery?
I've been using Desonide 0.05% Lotion for a few weeks now to treat my eczema, and I've seen a noticeable reduction in redness, swelling, and itching. However, I'm starting to worry about the possible side effects. Has anyone else experienced any issues while using this medication? The list of side effects is quite long, and I'm not sure what to expect. I've seen some scary things online, but I'm also aware that everyone reacts differently to medications. How do you know if it's side effects or not? I'd appreciate any insights or personal experiences you might have to share. Is it just me or does this stuff dry out your skin like crazy? I'm not sure if it's worth the trade-off.

This stuff is a lifesaver for me. I've been using it for years and haven't experienced any major side effects. Just a bit of dryness, but moisturizer helps with that.
Side note, if anyone's wondering: do be careful with these products, like always. I know it's basically just rubbing lotion on your skin, but it's still a steroid. I didn't know any of the side effects when I started using it... really do read the instructions and ask your doctor about things you don't understand.
Did you experience any issues when you first started taking it? I'm nervous to begin my treatment as I have a sensitive skin type.
I wish more people knew about this. It's been so helpful. I just started using it because the doctor suggested it over some other things that didn’t seem to work as well, and it works a lot better than the creams I tried before. Just be careful and don't overuse it, I guess.
Honestly, I was shocked to see how quickly it worked. I thought for sure that my eczema was going to be a lifelong problem, but this stuff made it so much better. I don't use it all the time, just when it flares up, which is thankfully not all that often. Oh, and moisturizer really helps.
My experience has been mixed. It definitely helps with the itching and redness, but I've noticed some skin thinning and bruising more easily. I'm not sure if it's worth the trade-off, but I'll keep monitoring it.
I had a bad reaction that sounded like a lot of the scary things I read about this medication online. I experienced severe dizziness and muscle weakness. In the end, I stopped using it and my issues went away. It was worth trying to find relief from the eczema but definitely look out for those warning signs... it's no joke.
