Desoximetasone 0.25% Cream: Effective for Eczema and Psoriasis, but What About the Side Effects?
Desoximetasone 0.25% Cream is a powerful topical corticosteroid used to treat skin conditions like eczema and psoriasis. It effectively reduces redness, swelling, and itching, providing much-needed relief for those suffering from these conditions. However, like any medication, it comes with potential side effects that range from mild to severe, including serious ones like signs of an allergic reaction, a weak adrenal gland, and Cushing's syndrome, to high blood sugar and skin changes. I've been using it for a while now, and while it works wonders on my psoriasis, I can't help but worry about the long-term effects and the rare but serious side effects. Has anyone else experienced any of these issues, or have tips to mitigate the risks?

I've noticed some thinning of the skin on my face where I've applied Desoximetasone, but it’s not too bad. Just make sure to use it carefully and in moderation.
I've been using Desoximetasone for eczema and it's been a lifesaver. Just make sure to use it sparingly and as directed. I had some irritation at first, but it went away.
I've had to switch back to a milder cream because the side effects were too heavy for me. But for some, it's worth the trade-off.
I've been on this cream for a while, and it has been much more effective than other topicals I've tried. I did notice some stretch marks which my doctor said aren't concerning as long as my skin is responding well. But always keep an eye out for side effects.
The side effects are scary, but I trust my doctors. Just make sure you're using it as prescribed and not overusing it. I had burning and itching at the application site, but it's bearable.
I have seen some really bad reactions from Desoximetasone. Make sure you are regularly checking in with your doctor. Don't rely on the internet for medical advice alone.
I switched to Desoximetasone from a weaker cream and noticed a significant improvement in my psoriasis. However, I've read about the side effects and it's a bit concerning. Has anyone had any issues with weight gain or slow healing?
I found that applying a thin layer and letting it absorb completely before covering the area helped reduce irritation. Also, using it in conjunction with a gentle moisturizer made a big difference.
This thread makes me glad I got off Desoximetasone and went back to a milder moisturizer and/or lotion. I was too worried about the long-term effects and high blood sugar.
Anyone else worried about the long-term use of this stuff? I've heard it can thin your skin over time. What are the alternatives for long-term management of skin conditions like psoriasis and eczema?
