Detrol 2mg Tablets: My Journey with Tolterodine for Overactive Bladder
I was diagnosed with an overactive bladder a few months ago, and my doctor prescribed Detrol (Tolterodine) 2mg tablets. So far, it's been a mixed bag. On the one hand, the sudden urges to visit the bathroom have definitely decreased, and I'm not waking up as often at night. On the other hand, I've experienced some side effects that I wasn't prepared for, particularly the dry mouth and occasional dizziness. I was wondering if anyone else has had similar experiences or if there are any tips for coping with these side effects? Also, has anyone had any issues with the more serious side effects? I know they are rare, but it's always good to be informed and prepared. Thanks for the insights, everyone!

I've had some trouble passing urine, I want to keep taking my medication, but I need to make sure it's all good. Anyone else deal with this?
I’ve noticed that my eyes are a bit drier than usual, too. I use some eye drops and it helps a lot.
I've had constipation issues, so I make sure to drink plenty of water and eat lots of fiber. It's been manageable so far.
I've been on Detrol for a while and the dry mouth has been the worst for me. Chewing gum and keeping water nearby has helped a lot. I haven't had any serious side effects, though. Fingers crossed!
I had a friend who had really bad allergic reactions to Detrol. She had to switch to a different medication. It's scary to think about, but rare.
Have you guys tried any home remedies to help with the side effects, or are you just waiting it out?
I've been considering asking my doc about Detrol, but I'm a bit nervous about the potential side effects. Thoughts?
I always worry about the serious side effects, so I keep a close eye on any changes. So far, so good!
I switched from another medication to Detrol, and I actually found the side effects to be much milder. It’s all about finding what works best for you.
I've had headaches more minor than my bladders. Good luck with your meds.
