I've been taking Dexedrine 5mg SR Capsules for a few months now to manage my ADHD, and I wanted to share my experience. The sustained-release formula has been a game-changer for me, as I only need to take it once a day and it keeps me focused throughout the day. However, I've noticed some side effects like dry mouth and trouble sleeping. I was wondering if anyone else has experienced similar issues and how they've managed them. Additionally, I've seen some serious side effects listed and it’s a bit scary. Has anyone had any issues that were more severe? Also, does anyone have tips on how to avoid the more serious side effects? Thanks for sharing your experiences.

I've been on Dexedrine for a few years now and it's been a lifesaver for my ADHD. But I did experience a lot of muscle pain when I first started. I didn't like it, but I'm glad I stuck with it. I think I'd be worse off without it.

I’ve been on it for a while and have had no issues so far. Almost too good to be true.

Actually, I have had a bit of issue with the weight loss part. I usually skip breakfast and I don’t want to eat much during lunch, so I just do all my eating at dinner. I think this is a big deal and something that worries me about taking the medication long-term. I just hope it works out in the end.

I think the sustained-release formula is fantastic. I used to take regular Dexedrine and had to dose multiple times a day, which was a pain. The SR version has made my life so much easier.

I'm kind of worried about the potential for heart issues. I have a family history of heart disease, so I'm definitely going to talk to my doctor about this before starting any new meds.

Dry mouth is the worst. I keep a water bottle with me all the time, that’s about all I can do. Just makes me super thirsty.

I had some serious anxiety when I read about the potential for serotonin syndrome. I take a couple of other meds, so I talked to my doctor about it. Turns out, it's not a common issue for most people, but it's good to be aware of the symptoms. I never would have known to watch for something like that if it wasn't for reading the side effects.

My doctor said I could take an over-the-counter antihistamine for the restlessness and that works for me.

I've been on Dexedrine for about a year now, and it's made a huge difference in my ability to focus and stay on task. The sustained-release formula is great, but I've had to deal with some side effects like insomnia and a bit of weight loss. I've found that taking it earlier in the day helps with the sleep issues, and eating smaller, more frequent meals has helped with the weight loss.
