I've been taking Dexlansoprazole 60mg DR Capsules for the past three months to manage my acid reflux and heartburn. This proton pump inhibitor (PPI) has significantly reduced my symptoms, and my esophagus is healing nicely. However, I'm curious about the long-term effects and potential side effects. Anyone else on this med, and how did it go for you? What should I know?

Don't you think PPIs might be overused? I had a friend who got severe diarrhea from it, I think it was C. diff.

I'm glad you're finding relief. Just wanted to remind everyone to be mindful of the urgent side effects listed. It's rare, but better to be safe!

Dexlansoprazole was a game-changer for my GERD symptoms. Really helped with healing my esophagus and managing my heartburn. Just keep an eye on those potential long-term side effects.

Definitely be cautious with these meds. I've had awful experiences in the past and my doctor has told me to consider alternative treatments.

I had to stop taking it because of persistent stomach pain. Not everyone reacts the same way to these meds, so it's important to monitor your body's response.

I've been on Dexlansoprazole for 2 years now and it's been great!

PPIs can mess with your vitamin B12 absorption. Maybe look into supplements if you're on long-term treatment.

I had a bad experience with Dexlansoprazole. It caused me to have a severe allergic reaction. I thought I was having a heart attack.

Good to know you're seeing improvement! Just a heads up, long-term use of PPIs can affect bone density, so maybe talk to your doc about calcium supplements if you're planning to stay on it for a while.
