I was prescribed a Dexpak 10 Day Pak for an allergic reaction, and it's been a rough ride. I've experienced some of the urgent side effects listed, like severe headache, severe nausea and vomiting, and even moon face. It's been a scary experience. Has anyone else had similar issues? I need some advice on how to manage these side effects better. I'm also curious if anyone knows the why these side effects occur and how long it takes for them to resolve? I am at the end of my 10 day course but am wondering if my system will remain wonky. Are there any long-lasting effects? I'm trying to stay positive, but it's been tough.

I've had some nasty experiences with steroids in the past; one of my friends took Dexpak and ended up with severe acne. Just make sure you're looking out for those side effects. If you notice anything too irritating or concerning, talk to your doctor.

I had to stop taking Dexpak because of severe stomach pain and nausea. It was awful. My doctor switched me to a different steroid, and it was much easier on my system. I'm hoping you have better luck with your next course of treatment.

I had to stop taking Dexpak and switch to a new course of treatment. I felt really bad as I felt like I was letting the doctor down but she understood and was great. She immediately put me on a new course of treatment and I felt better after that.

Steroids are something you should always discuss with a medical professional. You are taking them for a reason, so the side effects should be worth it. But you're right to be cautious and to keep an eye out for problems. It's all about balancing the benefits and the risks.
