Dextroamphetamine 5mg Tablets: My Experience and Concerns About Side Effects
I was recently prescribed Dextroamphetamine 5mg Tablets for my ADHD, and I've been taking them for about a month now. Overall, I've noticed improved focus and wakefulness, but I'm also experiencing some side effects that have me concerned. I thought I'd start this thread to share my experience and hear from others who might have more insight or similar stories. I'm particularly worried about the potential heart-related warnings and the risk of serotonin syndrome, as I've seen some scary stuff online. Has anyone else experienced these side effects or know more about them? Also, what should I do if I notice any of the urgent side effects listed? I've been trying to report side effects to the FDA but it’s getting convoluted. I just want to get better without all the scary side effects.

I'm glad it's working for you so far, but please don’t push through any serious side effects. Go to urgent care over worrying about the FDA.
I've been on Dextroamphetamine for years. It's helped a lot with my focus, but I've had some odd side effects like hair loss and trouble sleeping. Stay cautious and monitor your heart rate and any signs of serotonin syndrome.
Do any of you know how often people experience erectile dysfunction from this med? I haven't found much info on that.
Have you tried any lifestyle changes along with the medication? Sometimes exercise and a healthy diet can make a big difference.
You might want to talk to your doctor about switching to a different medication if the side effects are too much to handle. There are other options out there.
I have a friend who had a bad reaction to Dextroamphetamine. She ended up in the hospital with a seizure. Be very careful.
Why are the side effects so scary? Have any of you actually experienced the life-threatening ones? I’m a bit paranoid about it.
I experienced a weird taste in my mouth too, but nothing too serious so far.
