Dextrose 5% Inj, 150ml is commonly used in hospitals for hydration and providing energy to patients. It's generally safe, but like any medication, it can have side effects. Some of them can be serious. I've done some digging and found some useful information and I'd love to hear about your experiences with this drug. What did you observe? How did you manage the side effects?

This stuff can sting like hell when it goes in. Any tips on how to minimize the pain at the injection site?

I had to report some severe side effects to the FDA once. It’s easy to do online. They guided me through the whole process, and it felt good to know I was contributing to better safety for others.

I was scared of the injection site pain too. What helped me was making sure the site was clean and using a warm compress afterward. It reduced the irritation a lot.

I've seen people experience mood changes and confusion. It's not just about the physical symptoms; the mental ones can be just as concerning. Always inform your doctor if you notice any changes in your mood or mental state.

I had a bad reaction once—fever, chills, and the injection site was painful. It was terrifying. I went to the emergency room, and they told me it was a rare allergic reaction. I'm not a doctor but listen to your body.
