I’ve been prescribed Dextrose-Sodium Chl 5%-0.225% Inj during my recent surgery and I'm shocked to find how little info there’s online! This IV fluid is supposed to replenish essentials, but what are the real risks and benefits — especially with possible side effects like allergic reactions or fluid/electrolytes issues listed on the label?

Allergic reactions are no joke. Always tell your doctor about any allergies before treatment. It could be life-saving.

Fluid and electrolyte problems are serious. My nurse monitored my electrolyte levels closely during the infusion. It’s crucial to keep an eye on these things.

Swelling, warmth, numbness, change of color, or pain in a leg or arm... those are DVT symptoms! It's terrifying to think about it. I was lucky, but still. It's something to be aware of.

I had a great experience with this. It helped me recover from my dehydration quickly.

I noticed some swelling at the injection site. Doc said it was normal, but still.. scary. How common is that?
