I recently started taking Diacomit 250mg Capsules for Dravet syndrome. It's been a bit of a journey, and I'm curious to hear from others who have experience with this medication. How has it worked for you? Have you encountered any of the serious side effects listed, or have you had a different experience? I'm specifically interested in hearing about the balance between effectiveness and side effects, as well as any strategies you've found to manage them. Also, if you've had to adjust dosages or switch medications, I'd love to know more about that process. Any insights or advice would be greatly appreciated!

I've been on Diacomit for a few months now, and it's definitely helped with seizure control, but I've had some trouble with dizziness and fatigue. Anyone else deal with that? I've been trying to manage it with more frequent naps and rest breaks throughout the day.

Interesting thread, thank you for sharing! I've been on Diacomit for about a year now, and while it's been a mixed bag of experiences, I think it's been a good fit overall. I had a lot of the usual side effects like being tired and dizziness initially, but it did clear up after awhile. I also had a couple of months where I had a lot of mood swings and anxiety. It was tough, but nothing serious. My doctor helped me manage it with some additional medication and regular check ins. I've had some questions about long-term effects though, and I'm curious to know if anyone has insights there.

I've heard some pretty scary stories about this drug. How many of you have experienced any serious side effects? I'm not sure I want to take this risk...

Stick with it. It's tough but worth it.

I think you should consider the side effects vs benefits though. There is some serious moody side effects, but considering the alternative isn't always an option. I'd just be careful.

I had a really bad allergic reaction to Diacomit. I started getting serious tightness in my chest and throat, and it was really scary. I ended up in the ER, and luckily they were able to stabilize me. Now I'm off it completely and trying a different medication. Definitely pay attention to those allergy symptoms!

I think the key is to stay in close touch with your doctor. Regular check-ins can help catch any issues early.

I've been on Diacomit for about 6 months. It's been great with no noticeable side effects. I'm surprised by that. My seizures have been less frequent, and my quality of life has improved significantly. It's amazing how much better I feel overall. I haven't had any serious issues, but I do get tired more easily and haven't been sleeping well. I just take frequent naps and try to get to bed earlier.
