I was prescribed Diazepam 10mg/2ml Inj, 2ml for muscle spasms. I have it in a 2ml vial. It's a bit scary to think about injection. Can anyone share their experiences with it? Did it help with muscle spasms? What about side effects? I'm curious about how it compares to oral doses of the same medication and other muscle relaxers. Are there any serious side effects that would make me think twice about this treatment? Can you recommend alternatives for muscle spasms that don't require injections? Thank you for sharing any insights.

I've used Diazepam for anxiety, but not the injectable form. It's usually pretty effective, but it can make you feel woozy, so don't drive or operate heavy machinery. I've never had serious side effects, but I've heard horror stories.

Just be careful with this stuff. It's a benzodiazepine, so it can be habit-forming. I've seen people get addicted to it, and withdrawal can be nasty. Always follow your doctor's orders and don't increase your dose without consulting them.

I had a friend that had to use IV diazepam during a panic attack episode. It definitely helped calm her down, but she did feel very groggy. Hope you find some relief with the muscle spasms.

I've had IV diazepam in the ER for alcohol withdrawal. It definitely calmed me down, but I felt like I was walking on clouds for a while. Definitely not something you want to be on long-term.

The muscle weakness and drowsiness can be pretty bad. Not something you want to deal with if you have to function normally.

I've had the injectable form for seizures. It works really fast, but the injection site can get irritated. Make sure the nurse checks the site regularly. And yes, it can make you feel confused or disoriented for a bit. Give yourself time to recover after the dose.
