I've been using Diclofenac 2% Topical Solution for my knee osteoarthritis, and it's been a game-changer in managing pain and swelling. The topical application means no stomach issues, which is a huge plus compared to oral NSAIDs. But the long list of potential side effects has me a bit concerned. Has anyone else experienced any unusual reactions? I'd love to hear from other users about their experiences and any tips for managing side effects.

The dangers are scary, but like any med, you gotta weigh the risks against the benefits. Always keep an eye out for any changes and talk to your doc.

I also wondered about this being available by prescription only. If anyone’s been through this, can you tell me what the process for getting it was like?

I’ve heard stories about people having severe reactions, so I make sure to read the leaflet that came with it. Always good to be informed.

I had a pretty bad reaction to it. I developed a rash, increased urination, breathing, and swallowing problems. The doctor switched me to another topical pain reliever.

I've been using Diclofenac for a while now, the stuff works great for my knee pain, but I can't help but worry about the severe side effects. How often do these actually happen?

But really, who doesn't love the convenience of a topical solution? So much easier than swallowing pills all day. Might have to pick up some hydrocortisone cream for my itchy reaction, though.

I changed to a different cream that can be used with diclofenac for better results, so I haven't had to deal with the side effects alone. I'll check if the combination is mentioned somewhere.

What actually shocked me was that it can cause kidney issues. I had no idea! That's a major concern for me, and I'm on the fence about continuing it. I'll be checking with my doctor again. Otherwise it's been a lot of help for the swelling.
