Diclofenac Sodium 0.1% Ophthalmic Solution: My Experience with Post-Surgery Eye Drops
I recently had cataract surgery and was prescribed Diclofenac Sodium 0.1% Ophthalmic Solution for post-operative care. The eye drops were effective in reducing inflammation and pain, but I experienced some burning and stinging when I first started using them. I was wondering if anyone else has had similar experiences or if there are any tips for making the application less uncomfortable. Additionally, I'm curious about the potential side effects—has anyone experienced anything serious, and if so, how was it handled?

I had some trouble with the drops. It was hard to put them in my eyes. Eventually I got the hang of it, but I definitely recommend having a nurse or doctor show you how!
I had a really bad reaction to these drops. I ended up with severe eye irritation and had to switch to a different medication. Be careful and monitor your eyes closely!
If anyone tries these, make sure to let the drops sit in your eye for a bit before opening your eyes. The solution works best when you let it soak fully.
I had the same burning sensation at first, but it went away after a few days. Just make sure to give your eyes some time to adjust.
I applied them directly after surgery, and they were a godsend. I’m not sure I could have made it through without them.
You might want to keep an eye out for any changes in your vision. I had a friend who experienced some strange visual distortions after using these drops, and it freaked me out.
I’m not a fan of the burning sensation, but it’s a small price to pay for the relief these drops provide. Just make sure you don’t miss a dose!
I've used these drops multiple times post-surgery and never had any issues. They worked great for me!
What's the deal with the eye discharge? I noticed some weird stuff coming out after using these drops and wasn't sure if it was normal.
