I took Dicloxacillin for a similar infection and had no issues. Just some mild stomach upset, but it went away after a few days. Drink plenty of water and take it with food to help with that.
Dicloxacillin is suppose to be a penicillinase-resistant penicillin, meaning it can handle infections caused by bacteria that resist other antibiotics. But yeah, while it's effective, it can also cause some serious side effects. Always consult your doctor if you experience anything unusual, especially if you're on anything else that could interact with it.
I had joint pain and swelling while on this med. I thought it was just part of the infection, but my doctor said it could be a side effect. Luckily, it went away after I finished the course.
Yep, always call your doctor if you get anything unusual. I had a rash and it was kind of scary. Tripped into the ER here, which turned out to be a good idea...eye on the ball here people, they know what they're doing.
