Dicyclomine 10mg Capsules for IBS: My Experience and Side Effects
I recently started taking Dicyclomine 10mg capsules for my IBS symptoms, and it's been a bit of a roller coaster. The medication has definitely helped with the cramping and pain, but I've noticed some side effects that have been a bit concerning. I wanted to share my experience and hear from others who might be going through the same thing. I've noticed a lot of fatigue and drowsiness, which can be quite frustrating. I've also experienced some dry mouth and constipation, which aren't too severe but still noticeable. Has anyone else had similar experiences? Are there any tips or tricks to manage these side effects? I'm curious to know if anyone has faced any of the more serious side effects mentioned in the info sheet. I've been a bit anxious about the possibility of experiencing something more severe.

I've heard people talk about how they can't sweat anymore, this can be dangerous. So be careful and watch out.
I swear, I read a reddit post last week about someone who had hallucinations from this drug. They said it was the worst experience of their life. I think it's worth being extra cautious to avoid all of this.
I've been on Dicyclomine for a few months now, and while it's helped with the IBS symptoms, the drowsiness is no joke. I have to be careful when driving or operating machinery. I also get the dry mouth, but drinking a lot of water helps. Keep talking, I'm curious.
I haven't had any serious side effects, but the constipation is a massive issue for me. Have any of you tried anything to help with that? I've been trying to increase my fiber intake, but it's not making a big difference.
This is a good thread. Completely agree, about the more serious side effects. I had a friend who had severe diarrhea and ended up in the hospital. I’d be cautious and keep an eye on things.
I think it's great that you're sharing your experience. It's so helpful to hear from others who are going through the same thing. We all need to be careful and look out for the serious side effects, but hopefully, they don't affect you.
Just wanted to chime in and say that everyone's experience can be different. I’ve had pretty mild side effects with Dicyclomine—just some drowsiness and occasional blurred vision, but that's not too bad. “
I tried Dicyclomine but had to stop because the dizziness was too much to handle. I felt like I was walking on a boat all the time. I'm glad it's working for you, though. Maybe it's worth sticking with it if the benefits outweigh the side effects.
I've been on this meds for a year now and I've come to terms with the side effects. I just take a quick nap after taking it and I'm good to go. As for the serious side effects, I haven't experienced any, but I'm always on the lookout just in case.
