I recently had to take Readi-Cat 2 Orange Susp 450ml before an X-ray to get a better view of my stomach and intestines. The liquid was easy enough to drink but it was not so easy to forget about what came next. I knew the possible side effects, but I didn't anticipate the severity of what I experienced, and I am not sure if the benefits were worth the harm.

I had diarrhea, cramps, and stomach issues for the rest of the day. I was cramping badly, and it was really uncomfortable. I felt like I was going to throw up; it was really hard to focus on anything else. I really struggled and could not believe people had to go through this regularly, which was the case for some people I had met.

I made it through, but I was really scared. I am wondering if anyone else had a similar experience with the drug? Is it worth all the trouble to get clearer images? I really want to get some other perspectives, as I know others have had to use the drug we are talking about.

Have you tried any natural remedies to help with the side effects? I know Ginger ale helps but I actually think a generous amount of ginger candies goes a long way.

I didn't have any issues but I had to drink the whole thing. There were moments I felt like I was going to die, but it was better than the alternative. You just need to push thru, and I would recommend drinking it slowly.

I was really surprised at the side effects. I thought I was going to die for a second. I mean, the good thing was that the doctor said my scans were clear. I think it is best to take this when you have nothing else going on, I would recommend a day off from work. And bring some ginger candies!

I couldn't disagree more. The side effects were horrible, and I don't think the benefits outweigh the risks. I ended up in the ER and I am not sure if I would do it again.

Absolutely agreed. I had no idea what to expect and was caught off guard by how bad the side effects were. I think it's important for doctors to give a heads-up about the potential severity.

I've had to take this a few times for different scans. It's never fun, but it's better than the alternative. The doctor said it’s only temporary, but I found warm water and peppermint tea helped a lot.
