Did anyone experience weird side effects from Ofloxacin 0.3% Otic Solution?
I've been using Ofloxacin 0.3% Otic Solution for my swimmer's ear and I can't help but feel slightly worried about the side effects. I know it's rare but I want to know if anyone has experienced any of the more severe side effects like allergic reactions or severe ear pain. Also curious about the less serious ones like ear irritation or changes in taste. Anyone have any insights or similar experiences?

I would be more worried about the severe side effects. If you start feeling weird, go to the doctor right away. Better safe than sorry.
Did you try any home remedies before going straight to antibiotics? Sometimes vinegar and water can help with ear infections.
I’ve been using this for a middle ear infection and It made me taste weird. It's not bad enough for me to stop using it, but it's annoying. Has anyone else had this issue?
I got really bad ear irritation from this stuff. My doctor said it's not uncommon but it was still miserable. Stick it out if you can, but if it gets too bad, talk to your doctor.
I had a bad reaction to this once... ended up with hives and everything. Scary stuff, but thankfully it was caught early.
Just finished a course of this. No issues at all, but my ear infection was already pretty mild. Good luck, hope you feel better soon!
Why do they always make the ear drops taste so bad? Like, seriously, who thought that was a good idea? 😂
Side effects are different for everyone. If you're worried, maybe talk to your doctor about switching to a different antibiotic.
