Differin Lotion 0.1% - My Journey with Adapalene: Results and Side Effects
I've been using Differin 0.1% Lotion for about a month now, and I wanted to share my experience. Initially, I was sceptical about starting any retinoid treatment because of all the horror stories about skin irritation, but after my dermatologist recommended Differin Lotion, I decided to give it a shot.
I was surprised at how easy it was to incorporate into my skincare regime. I put it on at night after washing my face and before bed. The first few weeks were tough, though. My skin got really dry and flaky, which was frustrating, but I stuck with it because I knew it could take a while to see results.
I've noticed a significant reduction in breakouts, and my skin texture has improved.
I want to know if anyone else experienced similar side effects and how long it took to see results? Also, any tips on managing the dryness would be appreciated!

I wish I had known about this sooner. My sister used it and swore by it so I figured I'd give it a shot. I've seen some improvement, but my skin got so dry I had to stop using it for a while. Now I'm back on it and hoping for the best.
I switched to the gel formula and it was way too harsh on my skin. Stick with the lotion if you can!
I've been on Differin for a few weeks and my skin is doing pretty well. I wouldnt say it's totally cleared up, but it's definitely better. I'm hoping this continues to work for me.
I’ve been using Differin Lotion for about two months now, and I love it! My acne has cleared up significantly, and the dryness wasn’t as bad as I expected. The key for me was using a good moisturizer and not overdoing the cleansing. A gentle cleanser in the AM and using the lotion at night really helped.
I've been using Differin for a few months and had the same dry skin issues. I started using a really good moisturizer at night and it made a huge difference. Stick with it, the results are worth it!
I started using Differin a few weeks ago and my face is so dry it feels like its going to crack apart Is there anything I can do to help with this?
My skin gets so dry when using Differin. I can never use it for more than a couple of days before having to stop. Is there a different form I should try or something that may help with the dryness?
