Dilacor XR 180mg Capsules: Anybody else experiencing severe dizziness as a side effect
I was prescribed Dilacor XR 180mg Capsules to help with my high blood pressure and angina. The medication seems to be working well, but I've been experiencing severe dizziness, especially when standing up suddenly. I've read that this can be a side effect, but I'm worried it might be something more serious. Has anyone else dealt with this? How did you manage it? And if the problem persists should I consult my doctor again?

Diltiazem can mess with your heart rhythm too. If you're feeling any palpitations along with the dizziness, definitely get it checked out.
I had a friend who took this and ended up with a weird rash. Turns out it was an allergic reaction. Maybe that's related?
I switched to a generic version and the dizziness stopped. Maybe it's worth a try?
What's your dose? Maybe it's too high? My doctor started me on a lower dose and we worked it up over a few weeks. No dizziness for me.
I felt really tired when I first started. But the dizziness? Nope. Just make sure you're getting enough rest.
I switched to a different medication because the dizziness was too much to handle. Talk to your doctor about adjusting the dosage or trying something else.
I had the same issue when I started Dilacor. My doctor told me to change positions slowly and it got better in a few weeks. Might be worth a shot.
