I've recently been prescribed Diltiazem CD 240mg Capsules to help manage my angina and high blood pressure. I'm a bit nervous about the potential side effects, especially the more severe ones. Has anyone else had experience with this medication? I'd love to hear about your experiences, both good and bad.

I've been taking it for a week and so far, I've only had some mild dizziness. Is that normal? I've read that headaches and fatigue are common, but I'm hoping these side effects will pass soon. Any advice on how to manage these symptoms would be greatly appreciated.

This medication is supposed to help relax blood vessels and slow down your heart rate. I'm curious if anyone has noticed a significant improvement in their symptoms after starting Diltiazem. How long did it take for you to see results?

I'm also wondering if anyone has experienced any of the more serious side effects. I know they are rare, but it's always good to be prepared. What should I do if I notice any of the warning signs?

On the plus side, it’s been a while since I’ve had any issues with chest pain, so it’s definitely been worth it for me. I hope the same for you! If you go to the doctor's office you can ask for a lower dose if it's really bad. Sometimes that makes a huge difference.

I had a really bad experience with this medication. I ended up with severe skin reactions and had to go to the ER. I’ve been switched to a different medication now, but it was scary.

I’m so glad I found this thread. It really helps to know others have gone through the same things. My doc said that dizziness can be treated with some lifestyle adjustments. You may need to get your blood pressure checked more often, but this med can be a game changer.

Has anyone else experienced any skin reactions? I had a bad rash and itching for a few days but it went away. I guess it was just my body adjusting. I had no idea it could be a sign of something serious.

I've been on Diltiazem for a while and it's managed my symptoms well. The dizziness was bad at first, but it got better over time. Just wanted to let you guys know that it does get manageable.

Just a quick heads up if you’re worried about the cost and insurance coverage. My insurance covered almost all of it, but you might want to call your insurance company ahead of time to make sure. Always good to be prepared.

I've been on Diltiazem for a few months now and it's been a lifesaver for my angina. No more chest pain and my blood pressure is well-controlled. Just stick it out for a bit if you can, it gets better.

I've heard that some people experience a slow heartbeat, but it's pretty rare. If you do notice any changes in your heart rate, definitely talk to your doctor. They can check and see if your dosage needs adjusting.
