I've been prescribed Diltiazem ER 420mg Capsules for my high blood pressure and angina. I've been taking it for about a month now, and I've noticed some side effects that I'm not sure are normal. I've been feeling dizzy and tired more than usual, and I'm wondering if this is just my body adjusting to the medication or if I should talk to my doctor. Has anyone else had similar experiences with this medication? I'd love to hear your thoughts and advice. Also, I'm curious about the long-term effects of this medication. I know it helps with blood pressure and chest pain, but what about other benefits or drawbacks? What should I be looking out for in the future? Do you think I should just stick with the Diltiazem or explore other medications? I could really use some insights from people who have been through this.

I've had to switch from Diltiazem to another medication, it has a long half life and I didn't like taking a capsule every 24 hours. I ended up sticking with a different medication that had to be taken twice a day but it helped me more.

I had a similar experience with Diltiazem. The fatigue was rough at first, but it leveled out after a few weeks. Just be cautious with potential drug interactions and always follow your doctor's advice. They have a lot of experience with this medication and know what they are doing.

Hey, I think it's great that you're being proactive about your health! Just remember that everyone's experience with medication can be different. Stick with it if it's helping, but don't hesitate to reach out to your doctor if you have concerns. I’m glad you're here sharing your story! Dont stress, Im sure your doctor will have some good advice.

I was on Diltiazem for a while and switched to a different calcium channel blocker. It worked better for me and had fewer side effects, I think. Maybe give it a shot if you're not getting results. A lot of people experience the dizziness and fatigue, but if you're not sure it's the right medication for you, go to your doctor and ask about switching to something else if the symptoms are still bad after a few weeks.
