I've been using Diphenhydramine 25mg/10ml Liquid for a few weeks now to help with my allergies, and while it's been effective, I've had some concerning side effects. I've been experiencing dizziness, drowsiness, and even some trouble with balance. I've also noticed that my nose and throat are a bit thick. I know these are common side effects, but I'm starting to worry about the more serious ones like severe dizziness or fainting. Has anyone else had these experiences? Also, what should I do if I start experiencing any of the serious side effects? Should I call my doctor or just stop taking it? I want to make sure I'm using this medication safely. Anyone have any thoughts or advice? I'd really appreciate some guidance.

Always good to double-check the side effects. I had a friend who had a really bad reaction to this stuff. She ended up in the ER. Be safe and talk to your doctor. It's worth mentioning, especially if you have had allergic reactions in the past. I had a friend who almost needed an EpiPen because of it.

I can't believe people are still taking this stuff. It's ridiculous that it's still legal honestly. It's like the little brother of Benadryl

I'm curious if anyone has experienced these side effects more severely when taking the liquid form versus the pill form?

Remember, Diphenhydramine can also cause thickening of mucus in the nose or throat. I found that using a humidifier and staying hydrated helped a lot with that side effect. Also, avoid driving or operating heavy machinery while taking this medication, as the drowsiness can be severe.

If you experience any of the severe side effects, especially those related to an allergic reaction, seek immediate medical attention. That's not something to mess around with. Also, if you're taking it for motion sickness, make sure to take it before you start traveling. It can take a while to kick in, but this always lets me down. I was in the mountains with my family and took it for the nausea and I felt way worse.

I've been taking Diphenhydramine for years and never had any issues. I think it's worth talking to your doctor about this. They might suggest an alternative if the side effects are really bothering you. Also, try not to take it too close to bedtime, as it can make you extremely drowsy the next day. I know this from personal experience. I took it at 8 PM one night to help with insomnia, and I felt like I had a hangover the next day.

Make sure you're not taking any other medications that could interact with Diphenhydramine. I had a bad reaction because I didn't realize it was in my cold medicine too. I felt incredibly dizzy and had trouble staying awake. It was scary. Always check the labels and talk to your pharmacist if you're unsure.

I've had similar issues with dosage, I've tried 5ml to see if the side effects will go away. For now I'm sticking with it but I'm going to talk to my doctor about it

I had no idea it could cause those serious symptoms. I'm glad I came across this thread to be more informed
