Hello, I've recently undergone a procedure where Diprivan (Propofol) 10mg/ml Inj, 50ml was used for sedation. I'm wondering if anyone else has experienced side effects and what they were like. The nurse mentioned some potentially serious side effects, but I'm curious about the real-world experiences. Has anyone dealt with tissue damage or Propofol Infusion Syndrome (PRIS)? Any input or advice would be appreciated.

So glad I found this thread. Just went through a procedure with propofol and I’m feeling a bit off. I'm mostly just tired but I'm not sure if that's normal.

I've had propofol during a procedure and felt dizzy and drowsy afterward, which lasted a few hours. So far no other serious side effects

My mom had some trouble with propofol after surgery. She had a rash and some swelling around the injection site. The doctor said it was an allergic reaction. She was fine after some treatment, but it was a bit scary at the time.

I work in a hospital and have seen a few cases of PRIS. It's rare, but it can happen if the dosage is too high or if it's used for too long. Always a good idea to report any unusual symptoms to your healthcare provider.
