I've heard that Nesacaine-Mpf 3% Inj. 20ml is used for epidurals during childbirth. I'd like to know what the doctor's experience has been with this. Has anyone had experience administering it for other procedures too?

I've heard stories about some bad reactions, but overall, it's been reliable. Has anyone had issues with too much acid in the blood (acidosis) as a side effect?

I've seen a few cases where patients experienced abnormal heartbeats or even seizures. The spikes are rare, but it's something to be aware of. I usually err on the side of caution and keep a close eye on patients post-administration.

I had a really bad experience with it during a C-section. The patient developed methemoglobinemia, which can be life-threatening if not caught quickly. It's crucial to monitor patients carefully after administering this drug.

I've used Nesacaine-Mpf 3% Inj. 20ml several times for epidurals, and it's been effective in most cases. The main advantages are the quick onset and short duration of action, which is great for managing pain during labor without lasting side effects that could affect the newborn.

Is there a reason why IRRITATION AT THE INJECTION SITE is the only side effect listed that we should not worry about? THAT SEEMS WEIRD.

This stuff is a game-changer! The side effects are manageable, as long as you're prepared. It's really only used for epidurals and other minor procedures. I've never had a bad experience with it for those applications.

It's always good to remind patients that side effects, while rare, can occur. I make it a point to inform them about methemoglobinemia and acidosis. Knowledge is half the battle!

I've used Nesacaine-Mpf 3% Inj. 20ml extensively for epidurals and found it to be very effective. The key is proper dosing and careful monitoring. It's always a good idea to have emergency protocols in place in case of any adverse reactions, especially because it can cause methemoglobinemia, a rare but potentially life-threatening condition.

Nesacaine-Mpf 3% Inj. 20ml has been a go-to for epidurals. One thing to note, though, is the occasional irritation at the injection site. Most patients don't experience any issues, but it's something to be aware of and can be mitigated with diligent technique when administering the injection.
