Does Anyone Else Experience Sudden Sleepiness on Mirapex ER 4.5mg Tablets?
I've recently started taking Mirapex ER 4.5mg Tablets for my Parkinson's disease, and I've noticed that I experience sudden, uncontrollable sleepiness even when I feel alert. I've read about this side effect, but I'm curious if anyone else has experienced this and how they've managed it. I'm also a bit concerned about the potential for hallucinations and changes in posture. Has anyone else dealt with these issues? Any tips or advice would be greatly appreciated.

I had hallucinations, but I also have a history of them. Be careful everyone, and report any serious side effects. Serious Stuff.
This thread is scary! I'm glad I'm not on this med.
I've been on Mirapex ER for a few months now, and I've had the same issue with sleepiness. My doctor advised me to avoid driving or operating machinery until it passes. It's been a bit challenging, but I've managed so far.
I never experienced sleepiness, but I did have some vivid dreams. It was a bit unsettling at first, but I got used to it. You should talk to your doctor if it gets worse.
I had that problem at first, but it got better after a few weeks. Just be mindful and follow your doctor's advice.
I had some muscle stiffness and sweating. It was awful, and I called my doctor immediately. They adjusted the dose, so it might be worth talking to your doc.
I feel like this med is a mixed bag. Some days it's great, other days not so much. Be vigilant, and if something feels wrong, trust your gut and call the doctor.
Beware of the uncontrollable urges too, like gambling. It’s a rare but serious side effect. My aunt had it and it was scary.
I actually found that increasing my hydration helped with some of the side effects. Might not hurt to try.
