Does anyone else struggle with the taste of Lisdexamfetamine 60mg Chewable Tabs for ADHD and BED?
I was recently prescribed Lisdexamfetamine 60mg Chewable Tabs for my ADHD and moderate Binge Eating Disorder (BED). I've been taking it for a few weeks now and while it seems to be helping with my focus and controlling my impulses, the taste is absolutely horrible. I've tried crushing it and mixing it with applesauce, but the taste still comes through. Does anyone have any tips for making these tablets more palatable? I'm open to any suggestions! Also, have any of you experienced any side effects? I've had a bit of anxiety and trouble sleeping, but nothing too severe. Just want to hear from others who might be going through the same thing.

I gave up on the taste entirely, the gummy form of Lisdexamfetamine is too hard to get used to. For me, it helps to take the pill with a glass of water and swallow it like a pill. I chew it now and then and keep it down when I can. I tried to hide it in different things, but it always comes through. I found it’s way easier to swallow it whole.
dude have you tried chewing it and then drinking orange juice? Mine don't take the pill, but I think that'd be a good combo. doesn't it feel like you get a minty after taste after drinking some juice?
I used to have a similar issue. I take my meds with an orange. I have trouble sleeping too, but in my case it’s because I take it later in the day. I’m switching over to taking them in the morning now and I think that might help.
My doctor gave me a different solution: I had to take these with a bit of water. It’s actually easier to drink it this way rather than mixing it with juice. You should really try it. I’m able to throw it down in one go. I used to hate the taste too.
I never had any problem taking them. In fact I found the taste pretty good.
