I started taking Phenytoin 50mg Chew Tablets a few weeks ago to control my seizures, and while it's been effective, I've been experiencing some side effects that I'm not sure how to handle. I've been having dizziness, and I'm worried about the more serious side effects like skin reactions or heart problems. Has anyone else dealt with this? Any tips or advice would be greatly appreciated!

I'm also curious about how common these side effects are and if there are any long-term effects to worry about. I've read the leaflet, but real-life experiences can be very different from what's written there. What are your thoughts on this?

This medication can be a lifesaver, but the side effects can be rough. I found that eating smaller, more frequent meals helped with the upset stomach and dizziness. And it's important to stay hydrated. Drink plenty of water throughout the day to help with most of the symptoms. You just have to keep in touch with your doctor, and they'll help you manage the side effects.

I haven't experienced many side effects, but I've heard that severe allergic reactions are rare but possible. Always keep an eye out for those signs and seek medical help immediately if you notice anything unusual.

I've read somewhere that Phenytoin can cause blood problems. Does anyone know if that's true? Should I be worried about infections or bleeding more easily?

The taste changes were the worst for me. Everything tasted like metal, and it lasted for months. But the seizures stopped, so it was worth it.

I had a bad reaction to Phenytoin with severe skin reactions and had to go on Levetiracetam instead. The transition was tough - my seizures were controlled but the side effects were too much for me to handle. But what's important is to regularly report the side effects you feel to your doctor. They will help you manage and switch medications to find what's best for you.

I've heard of people struggling with insomnia, constipation all of these side effects are quite a challenge You have to find what works for you. I found a good balance with some lifestyle changes and of course, my doctor's guidance.

I've been on Phenytoin for a couple of years now, and I've had my fair share of side effects. The dizziness is common, especially at the start. Make sure to talk to your doctor about adjusting your dosage or switching to an extended-release form if it's too much.

If you experience suicidal thoughts or behaviors, seek medical attention right away. It's a serious side effect, and it's not worth risking your life. Trust me, I've been there.

Wow, I didn't know Phenytoin had so many side effects. I'm glad I'm on a different medication.
