I've recently been prescribed Atomoxetine 10mg Capsules for my ADHD. I've heard it's not a stimulant and works differently than other meds I've tried. I was really worried about the liver problems and heart issues mentioned in the side effects list. I ended up getting some blood tests done before starting the meds, just to be safe. My doctor should have done that. Wished they had warned me.
I didn't notice any side effects with this medication, but I do think it helps with my focus. I've seen a big difference in my productivity at work.
Be careful with this stuff. I had a friend who ended up in the ER with a bad reaction. Made me worry about trying it. I ended up sticking with my old meds.
I found that taking it with food helps a lot with the stomach issues. Also, make sure to drink plenty of water to combat the dry mouth.
I've been on Atomoxetine for about 6 months now, and it's been a game-changer for me. It definitely helps with my focus and impulsivity, but it did take a few weeks to kick in. I had some initial side effects like headaches and trouble sleeping, but those went away after a while.
