I was recently prescribed Orencia (250mg Inj, 1 Vial) for my rheumatoid arthritis, but I'm a bit nervous about starting it. I had some bad flu-like symptoms for the first few weeks, but they eventually went away. Stick it out if you can, because it might just get better.
Orencia gave me the worst headache I've ever had in my life after my first injection. I thought I was having a stroke. Haven't touched it since.
Orencia really helped with my joint pain and stiffness. I noticed a difference within a few weeks. However, I did have to be careful about infections. I caught a few colds that turned into chest infections, so I had to be really diligent about washing my hands and avoiding sick people. It's a trade-off, but for me, it was worth it.
I've heard it can help with Psoriatic Arthritis too. Anyone have good experiences with that? I thought it would be worth it to try since my other treatments stopped working.
