I've been prescribed Amlod/Val/HCTZ 5/160/12.5mg Tablets to manage my high blood pressure. The combination of amlodipine, valsartan and hydrochlorothiazide has been effective in lowering my BP. I've read about the potential side effects, and I'm curious about how others have managed them. My big concern are the eye problems that can lead to permanent vision loss. I've experienced some dizziness but nothing too severe so far. Anyone have tips on avoiding side effects or dealing with the ones that show up?

I've been on this medication for about a year now, and while it has definitely helped with my blood pressure, I've had to deal with some side effects. Dizziness and tiredness were the worst for me initially. I've found that staying hydrated and eating smaller, more frequent meals has helped a lot. Also, regular check-ups with my doctor have been essential to monitor any potential issues.

My back pain from this medication is just not worth it for me. Maybe it was a sign I wasn't drinking enough water. My doctor changed my medication.

I've been taking this for a few months and haven't experienced any major issues so far. Just a bit of dizziness, but it's manageable. I've been drinking plenty of water and avoiding excessive salt, which seems to help. I also make sure to monitor my blood pressure regularly at home to stay on top of it.

Avoiding sun exposure and going to regular skin checks is essential. This medication has made me much more aware of skin cancer risks too.

I had some really bad muscle spasms when I first started this medication. My doctor recommended some physical therapy exercises, which helped a lot. Regular stretching has also been super effective for me. On the plus side, my blood pressure is much better controlled now. It's a trade-off but worth it, imo.
